Biography
I have had a specialist interest in treating patients with cleft lip and palate since I was appointed in Manchester in 1993. Following a national reorganisation of cleft lip and palate services ten years ago most of my clinical time has been for patients with these and related conditions. I am one of the four surgeons, two based in Manchester and two based in Liverpool, who are part of the multidisciplinary team for the North West England, the Isle of Man and North Wales Cleft Lip & Palate Network
Graduated from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School 1979.
Trained in plastic surgery in Manchester, Leeds, San Francisco and Adelaide.
Appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Manchester 1993.
Hunterian Professor of the Royal College of Surgeons 1993.
Regional Specialist Advisor in Plastic Surgery, North West Region, for the Royal College of Surgeons, 2000-2006
