Trainee plastic surgeons

The Manchester Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns has a full complement of junior and trainee surgeons.

Both Core Surgical Trainees and Speciality Registrars undergoing training in the North Western Deanery cover both UHSM and RMCH.   There are also trust appointed juniors at both CT/JCF and registrar level across both sites.

Plastic surgery registrars in on the Manchester/Preston Health Education North West rotation spent the majority of their training at the Manchester Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns between UHSM and RMCH, there is also time spent at the Christie Hospital in Manchester and the Plastic Surgery Unit at Royal Preston Hospital.

As an index of our excellence in Hand Surgery UHSM in a training centre for the prestigious TIG fellowship in Hand Surgery and we have one or two Hand Fellows from either a Plastic Surgery or Orthopaedic background as part of the team.
