Biography
Mr Reid is an Academic Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a specialist clinical interest in trauma, nerve injury and complex limb reconstruction. His clinical training was combined with an academic NIHR Clinical Lectureship at the University of Manchester. He has also undertaken a clinical training fellowship at Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit, Glasgow Royal Infirmary concentrating on complex limb reconstruction.
Mr Reid leads a research team at the Blond McIndoe Laboratories, University of Manchester focussing on peripheral nerve injury/regeneration and adipose-derived stem cells in reconstructive surgery. This work is supported by funding from the National Institute for Health Research, the Healing Foundation and the Academy of Medical Sciences.
